The fuck. Let go by the ten mile away UPS store and thank you universe!

Fuck. Working for less than twenty dollars an hour part time ain’t no ego trip that’s for sure.

At a UPS store one mile from the house now and what a shift in culture.

The last place, it hadn’t been apparent quite how toxic is was. Toxi-city.

Though shalt not was the prevailing sentiment for employees.

The elder feared for her employment as poor thing life outside of what to do is bleak and lonely.

Going to Hell is prob’ly gonna suck bad. Always is.

The new place is so chill and open. Rather than, “that’s a dumb quesion” (literally!), they welcome questions.

Rather than telling customers, “you must pay for tape”, “you must take your old boxes and dispose of them yourself”, “you must pay”… the goal is to be as helpful as possible. At this place we employees are welcomed to help customers bring in boxes from outside as opposed to being banned from helping an old person bring their box in because “the insurance doesn’t cover it if something happens to you”. We save the old boxes and repurpose them when possible, perhaps to help a customer. Nice!

So fucking broken and used to life in Toxi City that I didn’t follow the advice of the customer who told me, “you need to walk out of here right now”.

Well thank you universe. Thank you again.

Apparently the quantity of a googolplex has a numeral representation with so many zeroes that if someone had begin saying it at the beginning of time they would only have gotten through a tiny fraction of it by now, whenever you are reading this. That is a number that is discussed alonside infinity.
